Milo the Knight
The empowering tale of a knight who emotionally sheds the only identity he’s ever known to discover his true self.
From the moment he was born, all Milo has ever known is knighthood. He eats, sleeps, and breathes it every moment of his life, never taking his armor off even for a minute. After all, Milo lives in the shadow of generation upon generation of knights before him and feels duty-bound to defend his colony should a dragon ever attack.
But while training one day, rain begins to fall and eventually turns Milo’s armor to a pile of rust, leaving the young knight weakened and unable to move. It isn’t until a chance encounter with a court jester, who helps him shed his armor and lay down his spear, that Milo has his first taste of freedom.

"A sweet tale about overcoming fears that uniquely merges the insect and medieval worlds." — School Library Journal
"This tour de force takes young readers on a journey to discover the power and freedom that lie beneath the outer shell we are too often taught to hold up against the world. (...) Milo the Knight examines and breaks stereotypes about emotions, identity, true strength, and even war. (...) Parent’s pastel-driven illustrations bring the story to vibrant life, treating Milo’s progression with sensitivity and care to reveal the true might of the boy under the armour." — Montreal Review of Books
