    THE AUTHOR

     

    Andrew J. Ross is an illustrator, designer and storyboard artist. He has worked in animation for the past 10+ years and has illustrated two picture books at Penguin workshop. For his illustrations, he loves to  experiment with all sorts of traditional materials, like gouache, coloured pencils, inks, or acrylics and then assemble it all digitally afterward. He lives in Toronto, Canada with his wife and two children. As a storyboard artist, he has worked for Paramount Animation (Under the Boardwalk/Tiger’s Apprentice), Sony Animation (The Mitchells vs The Machines!), Illumination Entertainment (Sing shorts), DreamWorks Animation (Kung Fu Panda 3, Captain Underpants, Penguins of Madagascar), Cinderbiter Productions (The Shadow King), Blue Sky Animation (Ice Age 4)...
